Clinic Policies
Focus Health Clinic strives to be a safe, tolerant and caring place for our patients, staff and physicians. We have a number of policies with regard to our clinic.
Welcome. We welcome our patients of all race, gender, sexuality, age, cultures, religion, and political affiliations.
Social. We ask that our patients dress and behave appropriately during their visit. This includes adhering to any health and public health related efforts that may apply.
Respect. Patients are entitled to feel safe and respected during their visit and in the provision of medical care. At times, we may ask for information or need to perform examinations that are personal and sensitive. You should feel free to ask for clarification and options, if that has not already been provided. Sensitivity to your needs will not detract from your care.
Abuse. While we appreciate that some people may be under significant stress and duress, we will not tolerate abuse directed at our staff, other patients and our physicians. Similarly, we will not tolerate deliberate damage or vandalism of our premises. Abuse and/or violence may result in protective measures, including calling the police, should that be necessary, and will result in discharge from our clinic/practice.
Teaching. Some of our physicians participate as preceptors and mentors to medical students, medical residents, nursing students and other learners. We ask for your patience and experiences to help better train them as future healthcare providers. If you do not wish to participate, simply let us know as your wishes will be respected.
